BidTerra Terms and Conditions

1. User Accounts and Authentication

BidTerra uses Google and Email & Password for user authentication. You must create an account and verify your identity to participate in auctions, place bids, or become a seller. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

2. Bidding

• Only authenticated users may place bids on auctions.
• All bids are binding and final. Please bid responsibly.
• The highest valid bid at the close of the auction wins the item.
• Winning bidders agree to complete payment via Stripe within the specified time frame.

3. Payments

BidTerra uses Stripe to process payments securely. By placing a bid and winning an auction, you agree to pay the final bid price through Stripe. We do not store your payment information directly; Stripe handles all payment processing.

• Payments must be completed promptly to avoid cancellation of the winning bid.
• Refunds or disputes are handled according to our refund policy and Stripe’s terms.

4. Becoming a Seller

• Users who wish to sell must create an authenticated seller account.
• Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of item listings and complying with all applicable laws.
• BidTerra reserves the right to suspend or remove seller accounts or auctions that violate these terms.

5. Creating Auctions

• Auctions must include honest, complete descriptions and images.
• Sellers must set starting prices and auction durations fairly.
• Sellers are responsible for delivering items to winning bidders promptly after payment is confirmed.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Manipulate bids or auction outcomes.
• Use multiple accounts to bid unfairly.
• Sell illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited items.

7. Liability

BidTerra acts as a facilitator between buyers and sellers. We are not responsible for item quality, legality, or fulfillment. Transactions are at your own risk.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of BidTerra after changes implies your acceptance.
